What is assistive technology?
Updated over a week ago

Wheelchairs, prosthetic limbs and hearing aids are some of the items people with disabilities often use to interact with the environment. When using the computer, they may use specialized software like voice controls or screen readers, or devices like pointing tools. These devices are known as assistive technology (AT), and they're often needed to participate fully online for people with disabilities.

Users who have difficulty moving a mouse, typing on a keyboard, reading screen text, or using a touch screen can use an assistive technology app or set of tools as part of their daily routine. These services can make navigating websites and conducting transactions simple.
